Michael is an accomplished investment professional with over 30 years of experience managing client assets. Most recently he served as the Chief Investment Officer for a nationally-known Trust company where he chaired the Trust Investment Committee and acted as the key media spokesperson. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and holds his Masters of Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to his notable career experience, Michael is also an accomplished Author and public speaker. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cross training, studying behavioral economics, continuing his education and playing the guitar.

Before joining First Bankers Trust, Brian served as the Louisville Market Director for Unified Trust where he was responsible for the growth and management of Wealth Management and 401k services. Brian graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and has over 24 years of experience in personal financial planning with clients. When Brian isn’t in the office, he spends some of his time volunteering with the Special Olympics of Kentucky. Brian is certified in financial planning, chartered retirement planning, and investment fiduciary. He also holds license for life, long term care and disability insurance.

Chad is an Atlanta native who has resided in Louisville for the last 12 years. Chad graduated with his JD from University of Louisville and passed The Kentucky Bar in 2012. He previously worked as an Attorney in a private practice before joining First Bankers Trust Company in 2015. Chad enjoys dining with his wife and two children, and volunteering at the Salvation Army of Louisville. His areas of expertise include Estate Planning and Trust & Estate Administration.

Steven is a Louisville native with a Bachelors in Finance from Western Kentucky University and a MBA from University of Louisville. Steven has spent several years working in equity research and portfolio management for Unified Trust and Amica Mutual. Steven became a Charted Financial Analyst in 2017. He currently serves as First Bankers Trust Co.’s Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Investment Research.

Corey joined First Bankers Trust Company, a division of Town & Country Bank and Trust Company, in mid-2018 to serve the asset management needs for clients in Bardstown and the surrounding areas. Corey is a Bardstown native himself and brings with him experience in the investment industry and a strong understanding of portfolio management. He specializes in assisting clients with investment management, financial planning, retirement income planning, insurance solutions and 401k plans for business customers.

Prior to joining the trust department, Corey spent several years with a national trust company developing and managing investment portfolios for Wealth Management clients. He assisted clients with the asset allocation, security selection and conformance of their portfolio. Corey also has experience as a trader and investment analyst, specializing in the analysis of dividend growth equities.

Corey graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics. While attending the University of Kentucky, he became a member of the MBA Student Investment Group where he managed an equity portfolio. He was also a member of the inaugural class of Elevate Kentucky that was established by the Leadership Kentucky Foundation in 2017.

Bernetta is a native of Southern Indiana and has been with First Bankers Trust since its inception in 2000. Prior to First Bankers, Bernetta worked for Southeastern Financial Services/Kentucky Home Trust Company in Louisville for 5 years.  Bernetta enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.  Her expertise includes Account Administration and Operations.

LeeAnn attended college at EKU where she completed her Bachelors in Risk Management and Insurance. In 2015 she completed “The Extreme Risk Takers XII” at the Napslo Symposium in Chicago, IL. LeeAnn is currently a Louisville resident, but is a native of Springfield, KY. She has been working for First Bankers Trust since early 2017 and serves as our Associate Wealth Advisor.
